A major step toward fulfilling the 630 trillion IRR agreement between DotOne Value-Creation Group and the Railway

 

According to the public relations office of DotOne Value-Creation Group, as part of the implementation of the 630 trillion IRR investment agreement in the country’s rail industry, today marks the fruition of one of the most significant achievements of the first phase of this national project. With the delivery of the 100th tank wagon manufactured by Foolad Derakhshan Arak Company, DotOne has demonstrated its commitment and operational capability in action. To delve into the details of this success, we sat down with Engineer Abbas Fallah, Deputy of Technical and Operations at Avan Rail Trains Company.

Engineer Fallah, the delivery of the 100th wagon is a significant milestone. Please explain the importance of this achievement within the framework of the major agreement with the Railway.

As you know, by signing this memorandum of understanding, DotOne Value-Creation Group committed to a large-scale investment for the modernization and expansion of the country’s rail fleet. The delivery of the 100th tank wagon is the first sweet fruit of this robust initiative. This milestone demonstrates that the agreement has moved beyond a document on paper and has become an active and executable project. More important than the number 100 is the fact that all of these wagons have received the necessary technical approvals from the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, which is a testament to the high quality and standards of production.

One of the remarkable aspects of this project is the speed of its execution. Since the signing of the agreement, we’ve witnessed a continuous and uninterrupted process. How was this achieved?

Exactly. Our contract with Foolad Derakhshan Arak Company was signed in February 2025 (Bahman 1403), and from that very moment, the work proceeded without a single day of interruption. This becomes even more significant when you consider that we had previously negotiated with other companies, all of whom required at least five months after signing the contract just to procure raw materials and prepare their production lines before delivering the first unit. In contrast, Foolad Derakhshan Arak began operations immediately and, despite Nowruz holidays and power outages during the spring, managed to deliver one hundred standard wagons in less than five months.

This is the most important part of our success story. Unfortunately, during the recent aggressions, the main building of the group was targeted and damaged. However, the strategy and commitment of the group’s board of directors was clear: no crisis — not even war — should hinder the progress of national projects. Production didn’t stop for even an hour. Our technical and quality representative was present full-time at the factory in Arak to ensure everything moved forward as planned. This achievement is owed to the steel-like determination of the management and the dedication of Iranian workers.

I must sincerely thank two groups. First, Foolad Derakhshan Arak Company, whose commitment, expertise, and exceptional responsiveness proved that they truly and practically believe in the motto “We Can.” And second, a special thanks to the noble and hardworking workers of this company, who, despite the difficult and critical conditions, kept the flame of production alive with admirable spirit and did not allow the enemy to achieve its goal of disrupting the country’s industry and economy. One hundred wagons is not just a number; it is a symbol of resilience, expertise, and national solidarity.
