Iran’s Judiciary Head Voices Strong Support for Entrepreneurs
«A people's economy is meaningless without respect for the entrepreneur.»
In the joint meeting of the heads and deputies of the three branches of government, held on Monday, February 4, 2025, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Mohseni Ejei, the head of the judiciary, delivered clear and distinct remarks in support of economic activists, producers, and investors, emphasizing the necessity of utilizing public capacities in the economy.
In this meeting, he referred to the essential shift in the approach of government institutions toward the private sector, stating:
He stated: “In the past, sometimes participating in meetings with economic activists, or even taking photos with entrepreneurs, was viewed by some officials as a negative act. This perspective must change, as entrepreneurship, from an Islamic point of view, is a value.”
The head of the judiciary also referred to the approach taken toward economic convicts, stating:
He stated: "Some convicts, after serving their sentences, are completely removed from the cycle of activity, which results in the loss of their potential contributions to society. We must, within the framework of the law, create opportunities for the return of human capacities."
These remarks, made at the beginning of the Fajr decade and coinciding with the Sha'ban holidays, carry a clear message from the highest judicial authority in the country about the necessity of psychological, social, and legal security for economic activists and legitimizing entrepreneurship as a national value.
In the intellectual framework of DotOne Value Creation Group, entrepreneurship is not only an economic action but also a cultural—civilizational act that can play an important role in public welfare and sustainable progress.
