Russia’s Wagon Cargo media outlet has reported the signing of Iran’s largest tank wagon manufacturing contract with Holding One..

According to the Public Relations Department of Holding One; Wagon Cargo, a media outlet affiliated with Russia’s specialized freight transport software platform, has published a report outlining the world’s largest freight wagon supply contracts. The report details major logistics agreements in countries such as Russia, Brazil, Iran, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, focusing on the production and procurement of freight wagons.

In its report, Wagon Cargo referred to the contract between One Holding and Derakhshan Iron & Steel Arak as the largest freight wagon order in the world. Further details of this landmark agreement are outlined below.

In recent months, One Holding, aiming to expand its logistics fleet, signed a contract for the procurement of 600 tank freight wagons with Derakhshan Iron & Steel Arak. According to the agreement, Derakhshan Iron & Steel is committed to manufacturing and delivering 600 tank wagons within one year, with 300 units to be handed over in the first phase within six months.

These 76,000-liter tank freight wagons have been ordered for the transportation of petroleum products. The wagons commissioned by One Holding are being built in compliance with European standards and are intended for use on both domestic routes and international transit corridors.

According to the Public Relations Department of Holding One; the first shipment of this order—comprising 20 tank wagons—was delivered to the holding in March. The remaining units are expected to be delivered within the agreed timeline by Derakhshan Iron & Steel Arak.
