Significant expansion of DotOne Rail’s fleet in 2025: Hundreds of new wagons and locomotives are on the way

Following the first strategic roundtable of DotOne Value Creation Group's executives in 2025, Ebrahimi, CEO of DotOne Rail Trains Company, shared key details of the company’s strategic and long-term plans for the new year in an interview with the Group’s Public Relations Department.

He highlighted the importance of strategic alignment among subsidiary companies, which was emphasized during the roundtable session. He announced that in the new year, Avan Rail will focus on expanding its fleet and enhancing domestic and regional collaborations to play a significant role in the value chain of the group and the national rail transport industry.

The key programs announced by the CEO of DotOne Rail for 2025 include:

• Collaboration with the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways.: Advancing the memorandum of understanding for the development of rail transport.
• Expansion of the tank wagon fleet.: Planning for the delivery of 300 new tank wagons by the end of September and the commencement of the second phase of the contract for purchasing 600 additional wagons.
• Passenger fleet: Signing a contract for the purchase of 50 DMU passenger wagons aimed at enhancing service quality.
• Strengthening the locomotive fleet.: Planning for the purchase of 25 locomotives to increase cargo transport capacity.
• Expansion of petroleum product transportation.: Pursuing the signing of a contract with a consortium of neighboring countries' oil companies for transporting cargo on domestic and international routes.

Ebrahimi concluded by emphasizing: “These plans demonstrate Avan Rail’s serious focus on infrastructure development and increasing operational capacity in the coming year. By executing these projects in 2025, Avan Rail will take a significant step toward achieving its development goals and contributing to the overarching objectives of DotOne Value Creation Group.”
